PROGRAMS

Infants (6 weeks – 1 year)
Our infant program provides children with a nurturing environment, where the individual needs of each child is met. Our daily information sheets communicate, to parents, the care given as well as what developmental activities took place. The ratio of staff to infants is 1 – 4.


Early Toddlers (1 year – 18 months)

Our mobile infants are able to explore their world in a nurturing, developmentally appropriate environment. The children enjoy fun, age appropriate activities that encourage newly developing skills. Parents receive toddler, daily information sheets.  The ratio of staff to early toddlers is 1 -  4.

 

Middle Toddlers (18 months – 24 months)
Our toddlers enjoy a structured day filled with developmentally appropriate activities that include art, math, fine motor, gross motor, science, and language. The children enjoy daily outdoor play on our specially designed playground. Parents receive toddler, daily information sheets. The ratio of staff to toddlers is 1 – 6.


Older Toddlers (24 months – 36 months)

Out oldest toddlers continue to enjoy a stimulating, structured day that will begin to prepare them for preschool. Our trained staff work directly with each family to discuss how to best potty train each individual child. The children enjoy daily outdoor play on our specially designed toddler playground. Parents receive toddler, daily information sheets. The ratio of staff to toddlers is 1 – 6.


Early Preschool (3 – 3 1/2 or potty trained)
Our early preschool classroom is a transition room for our youngest 3 year olds before entering preschool. Children who are not yet potty trained are able to be in a preschool environment while continuing to work on potty training. The children enjoy daily outdoor play on our specially designed preschool playground. Parents receive daily information sheets. The ratio of staff to 3 year olds is 1 – 9.


Pre and Pre K Program

Our preschool program is licensed by the Department of Education. Our preschoolers experience a wide variety of learning activities daily that are planned according to the Rhode Island Early Learning Standards. The children are provided with wide range of hands-on activities to prepare them for kindergarten. Our monthly newsletters provide parents with our weekly topics. Progress reports and parent/teacher conferences are part of our program. The ratio os staff to preschoolers is 1 – 9 for 3 year olds and 1 – 10 for 4 year olds.


Kindergarten (5 – 6 years)

Our fill day kindergarten is licensed by the Department of Education and taught by a certified Early Childhood Teacher. Our curriculum meets all state standards. Children benefit from our small class size and balance between individual, small group, and whole class instruction. The ratio of staff to kindergartners is 1 – 12.


School Age Program (5 – 10 years)

Before and After School, School Vacations, and Summer Programs are available for school aged children. Bussing is available for children living in the town. Teachers are available to assist with homework. Teacher and child directed activities are available as well as daily, outdoor play. Children are able to participate in our annual holiday and end of the year plays.
